2023 Scholarship Awards Dinner

Join us in honoring this year's scholarship recipients as we celebrate more than $65,000 in awards given to support young women in culinary education! 

If you've never attended before, this is a great way to see what LDEI-Atlanta is all about. You'll get to meet the women and their families who are receiving scholarships this year and see first-hand how the fundraising efforts we do all year long are changing women's lives. Plus, you'll enjoy a delicious meal at the Distillery of Modern Art in Chamblee, a craft distillery that combines a modern art gallery supporting local arts and installations with a cocktail lounge and event space.

3rd Annual Sips of the Summer Wine Tasting Fundraiser

LDEI-Atlanta is excited to present its 3rd Annual Wine Tasting Event, which each year raises funds for our scholarships and grants programs in support of women in the culinary and hospitality industries.

Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, at 433 Bishop to enjoy a delightful wine tasting featuring a variety of amazing wines paired with delicious bits from Dishful Thinking. Prepare for a night of fun with a chance to win amazing raffle prizes! 

Can’t join? You can still donate! 100% of proceeds from this event goes to support the LDEI-Atlanta Chapter’s scholarships and grants programs.

ApRIL LDEI ATLANTA CHAPTER EVENT: LUNCH & TOUR AT SOUPER JENNY FARM

Join us for our first LDEI-Atlanta lunch event of the year at Souper Jenny Westside. 

We will have a guided tour of the Souper Farm led by Farmer Jeff and learn more about Jenny’s Zadie Project, which works to combat food insecurity for families and seniors in Atlanta. The farm also offers classes and provides low-cost educational programs

The farm also offers offer classes to the surrounding food desert communities and provides low-cost educational programs to teach families about sustainable living and the value of eating whole foods.

Lunch will be provided by Souper Jenny on the patio following the tour.  Time:  11:30 am – 1:30 pm

MARCH LDEI ATLANTA CHAPTER EVENT: SAY CHEESE! TABLE TALK

Say CHEESE! Join Les Dames d’ Escoffier - Atlanta on March 23 as CCP, Brewster McCall, from Gourmet Foods International walks us through three unique cheeses along with his recommended accompaniment and wine pairings.

Cheese and accompaniments are part of the fee and can be picked up ahead of the event. Wine pairings are optional add-on and can be purchased and picked up at 3 Parks Wine Shop in Atlanta’s Glenwood Park neighborhood.

The event will be held on Zoom as part of LDEI International's month-long Table Talks program, a series of virtual events hosted by LDEI Chapters around the world to celebrate our community of women in food, beverage and hospitality.

Virtual events will range from tastings to demonstrations to panel discussions and more. A portion of the proceeds will help fund philanthropic efforts in our communities. See what other events are going on at tabletalkslesdames.com.

Wild HEaven Brewery Chapter Event

Join us on February 28 at Wild Heaven Beer West End Brewery and Garden for our February Chapter Event! Located in the West End neighborhood of Atlanta in the Lee+White development, it’s a wonderful space to reconnect with your Dame friends and meet some of our new members. Friends and supporters are welcome to join in the fun, too!

Wild Heaven Brewmaster Eric Johnson will tell us about brewing beer, and dinner is sponsored by Wild Heaven. Of course, there will be fun raffle prizes with a few surprises. 

Wild Heaven Beer West End offers beers inspired by traditional European and innovative American brews. There is a taproom, seven-barrel brewhouse, fun outdoor patio and a counter-order restaurant.

Culinary Futures

Each year, Les Dames d’Escoffier–Atlanta Chapter hosts an annual fundraiser and reception to support our Culinary Futures program. The program benefits one female high school senior pursuing a degree in culinary arts, hospitality or related fields.

The event is sponsored by IMC & GC Buying Group. Their generosity allows 100% of the proceeds to go directly into this scholarship fund. The more money we raise, the more we can provide this year!

This year the Culinary Futures Scholarship event is scheduled for Thursday, January 12, at 5:30 p.m at AmericasMart in downtown Atlanta. The event is sponsored by IMC & GC Buying Group. Their generosity allows 100% of the proceeds to go directly into this scholarship fund.

After a two-year hiatus, Dames Who Dine is back!

Join fellow LDEI-Atlanta members and supporters this Friday, July 29, for the return of this popular event. You'll enjoy an evening at the recently opened Oreatha’s @ the Point, a restaurant by Dame Deborah VanTrece that is a tribute to mothers and comfort food around the world.

The Cascade Heights restaurant's global menu includes dishes such as Tod Mun Pla Thai catfish with tamarind hot sauce, cauliflower coconut grits, curry coleslaw, and Parisian steak and frites with truffle béarnaise sauce.

On Friday evening, you'll enjoy shared appetizers, an entree, dessert and wine, all for $75 (includes tax and gratuity). You can check out the current menu here.

The heart of Les Dames d’Escoffier’s mission is to support women in culinary, hospitality and fine beverages. LDEI Atlanta’s scholarship and grants programs have helped hundreds of women in their career journeys.

At this event you’ll have the opportunity to meet the honorees, enjoy a delicious meal and catch-up with your LDEI-Atlanta family.

BOURBON & BITES

Bourbon & Bites will take place September 14 at By George restaurant, located in the historic and beautiful Candler Hotel in downtown Atlanta. Sip classic Southern Bourbon and enjoy dishes prepared especially for us.

The evening will benefit Les Dames d’Escoffier International's Atlanta Chapter and its efforts to provide scholarships and grants to women in the culinary arts, hospitality and farming industries as well as to support local food equity and community-based charity organizations. The Candler Building, built by The Candler Investment Company at the turn of the century, was opened as an office space and home of Central Bank & Trust in 1906. Some of the building’s original features included a basement-floor barber shop, authentic Roman-style bath house and a vault used exclusively to house Asa Griggs Candler’s secret Coca-Cola recipe. The building was refurbished and reopened in 2018 as The Candler Hotel, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, and is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
