The philanthropic mission of the Atlanta Chapter of LesDames d’Escoffier International is two-fold:
- To support women’s education in the culinary, hospitality and related fields via scholarships and continuing education grants, and mentorship with our members, and
- To help our community by funding non-profit organizations working in the areas of community health and well-being, anti-hunger work, helping the culinary community and embracing and promoting diversity, culinary education, nutrition, sustainability and school agriculture programs.
We have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to date and hope to continue and grow this mission in the future.
Your gift works hard – and it’s fully tax-deductible. In 2020, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we gave to several organizations that had specific programs dedicated to helping those in the hospitality and farming communities, including Giving Kitchen, #ATLFamilyMeal and Georgia Organics.
In 2021, Les Dames d’Escoffier International-Atlanta Chapter provided scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $14,000 for eight outstanding women to pursue degrees in culinary arts, hospitality and related fields. These scholarships are truly life changing, as they provide both financial means to help these women to attend school, as well as tremendous support in inviting them into our network of powerful women helping women.
As we move into 2022, we plan to continue to provide support to those in the culinary and farming nonprofit community as well as provide scholarships for women pursuing their culinary dreams.
